We’re looking for a project manager to join our York team. This is a permanent, full-time role.
Salary band: £32,500 - £38,000 per annum

We’re looking for a project manager to join our team who can plan and deliver projects from brief through to completion. You will work with stakeholders to define the project scope, accurately estimate project budgets and timelines, plan resources and delegate tasks. Continually manage scope throughout the life of projects, identify risks and coordinate the project team. You will be responsible for all communication and time management to make sure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What you’ll do:
1. Support on the planning and implementation of projects within the team
2. Discuss briefs with clients and build strong relationships
3. Develop briefs for design and content teams
4. Plan and manage project timelines and status reports
5. Regularly communicate the correct information to all members of the team
6. Set agendas, complete contact reports and delegate tasks and actions
7. Manage quality assurance
8. Continuously assess projects to identify and flag risks to team members
9. Manage project and client administration, including all documentation and client contact updates
10. Manage financial processes such as estimating, reconciliations and billing
11. Report regularly to pod lead and head of project delivery
12. Maintain and strengthen client relationships
13. Track project progress, both financially and practically
14. Evaluate projects and measure results
15. Arrange and conduct project retrospectives
16. Create and support on project case studies and/or award submissions
17. Take part in brainstorms and add ideas and inspiration to your own and others' project work
Your skills and experience:
Our ideal candidate has three plus years’ experience as a project manager with the ability to build client and colleague rapport easily. You’ll have a strong focus on delivery, time, budget and excellence and take a proactive approach to projects.
You’ll be able to stay focused under pressure, be a great communicator – and never miss a deadline.
You’ll be interested in creative communication, culture and people engagement, and bring fresh and smart ideas to every project.
We’re a busy consultancy, so you’ll need to be quick, adaptable, enthusiastic and hard working. And, yes, we need you to be a team player who can also work independently.
It’s essential that you’ve got experience of using gantt charts and timelines in Excel – and it would be great if you’ve used Trello or a similar platform and have worked in an Agile environment.
