The Project\: Birmingham Curzon Street railway station is the planned northern terminus of High Speed 2 on the fringe of Birmingham city centre, England. Birmingham Curzon Street Station, which will be net zero carbon in operation, will be the first brand new intercity terminus station built in Britain since the 19th Century. The new railway will connect Birmingham to London Euston via Birmingham Interchange and Old Oak Common. Curzon Street will have seven terminal platforms and is due for completion in 2028. This opportunity would focus on the concrete packages in Lot 3 You’ll need to have\: Proficient in MS office tools. Subcontract profit and loss reporting. Administering monthly commercial calendar. Experience in establishing cost control systems. Leading value engineer and cost exercises. Preparing monthly commercial reports. Developed planning and organisational skills. Ability to communicate, collaborate & network with key stakeholders and senior leaders. Established problem solving skills. Ability to adapt and respond to change. Leads by example and demonstrates leadership behaviours. Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management (or equivalent). CSCS. You’ll also have: Contract management, including knowledge of joint contracts tribunal (JCT) suite of contracts. Ability to apply detailed technical expertise managing complex tasks. Establishes clients’ requirements & manages expectations. Ability to build established and effective client relationships. Provides clear direction and creates a culture of high performance. Encourages and empowers others, providing praise & recognition of efforts. Actively supports the wider team to ensure plans are met. Chartered MRICS (or equivalent). Working towards membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Construction management expertise. Developing commercial and financial acumen. Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams. Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
