Job Description
The Land Sport Supervisor is responsible for the management and supervision of land-based sports activities and facilities. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring safety and compliance, organizing events, and enhancing the experience for athletes and participants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Management:
o Supervise and coordinate the activities of sports coaches, referees, and other staff involved in land-based sports.
o Develop and implement training programs and schedules for staff.
o Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff effectiveness.
2. Facility Management:
o Ensure that sports facilities and equipment are maintained in good condition and are compliant with safety standards.
o Oversee the setup and teardown of sports events and activities.
o Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any facility-related issues promptly.
3. Safety and Compliance:
o Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for all sports activities.
o Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
o Address any safety concerns or incidents that arise and report them as required.
4. Event Planning and Coordination:
o Organize and manage sports events, tournaments, and competitions.
o Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, equipment setup, and participant registration.
o Collaborate with other departments or organizations as needed to ensure successful events.
5. Participant and Member Services:
o Provide excellent customer service to participants, including addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and gathering feedback.
o Develop and implement programs and activities that enhance participant engagement and satisfaction.
o Monitor participant feedback and make adjustments to improve the overall experience.
6. Administrative Duties:
o Maintain accurate records related to facility usage, staff schedules, and event outcomes.
o Prepare reports on sports activities, facility conditions, and staff performance for management review.
o Manage budgets related to sports programs and facilities, including tracking expenses and making recommendations for cost control.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field preferred.
* Experience: Previous experience in sports management or supervision, with a background in land-based sports preferred.
* Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills.
o Knowledge of safety standards and regulations for land-based sports.
o Proficient in administrative tasks and budget management.
