Job Title : ABF Origination, Principal Job Summary: Blackstone is seeking a talented Asset Based Finance Originator to join our ABF Group. The successful candidate will concentrate on originating, structuring and managing a diverse range of asset-based investments. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of structured finance and asset-based securities, as well as a proven ability to generate high-quality investment opportunities. Sectors include, consumer finance, equipment, leasing, physical assets, and corporate finance. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate potential investments using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and thorough due diligence. Cultivate and sustain relationships with market participants, intermediaries, and issuers to source novel investment opportunities. Collaborate closely with internal teams (risk management, legal, operations, etc.) to ensure a smooth transaction process and manage ongoing portfolio activities. Stay updated on market trends and developments in the area of structured finance and asset-based securities to continuously refine the group's investment strategy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is preferred. 8 years of experience in structured finance, asset-based lending, or a related field, with a focus on originating and structuring investments. Strong analytical skills, capable of evaluating complex financial data and structures. Excellent relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain a network of industry contacts. Superior communication skills, capable of clearly presenting complex financial information to a range of audiences.
