Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Payroll Shared Services Specialist to join our Payroll team at our Spalding site.
As Payroll Specialist, you will process the Company payrolls, ensuring they are accurate and run within specified and agreed deadlines and to audit requirements. You will provide a comprehensive and accurate payroll service covering the employee lifecycle process in a timely manner and in accordance with employment legislation and Company policy and procedures.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward-thinking market leader.
Job Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist include:
* Assisting with checking all payrolls for sign-off, which includes producing the Bacs reports.
* Assisting the Team Leader with tax year-end processes in accordance with all timetables and deadlines.
* Checking for accurate payroll data recording time, attendance, sickness, absence & holiday entitlement.
* Undertaking audit tasks including checking exception reports, analysing and making corrections to payroll data as and when required.
* Reporting payroll outputs and interfaces with stakeholders internal and external to the Organisation (HMRC, Pensions, Finance, and third-party providers).
* Maintaining payroll processing documentation, spreadsheets, and guidance notes ensuring that the processes are robust, streamlined, and comprehensive training guides are fit for purpose.
* Checking the Pension and auto/contractual enrolment obligations are in line with legislations.
* Assisting the Team Leader in the timely processing of Bacs payments.
* Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to improve knowledge and awareness of payroll-related processes.
* Working on projects and change implementation as and when required.
* Executing payroll operations, including processing, data management, and liaising with the tax authorities.
* Undertaking ad-hoc duties as defined by the HR and Payroll Admin Manager & Team Leader.
* Assisting with the mentorship of the Team.
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Payroll Specialist, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
* Extensive payroll knowledge.
* Understanding of Payroll, HR, and T&A systems.
* Good analytical and analysis skills.
* Good computer input skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Qualified to level 3 in Payroll (desirable).
* Good customer service & communication skills.
* Well organised with a flexible and adaptable approach.
