Residential Project Manager’s – Oxford/Bucks – £70,000 Plus Package
Currently working with some of the UK’s leading residential developers who require experienced Project Manager’s for various new build developments in the Oxford and Buckinghamshire region.
These developers have a very good pipeline of work for their award winning residential developments which gives them all a strong name in the industry. The projects you will manage will be for their prestigious residential developments consisting of traditional build houses up to 5 bedrooms.
Job Description
1. Manage Assistant/Site Manager(s) and aid in their training and personal development.
2. Provide cover for the Regional Operations Manager on an ad-hoc basis if required.
3. Assist Site Managers on other developments with more complex or unusual issues.
4. Comply with company Build Policy and Procedures.
5. Supervise and co-ordinate sub-contractors, material suppliers and utility providers to ensure an efficient method of build in accordance with the construction programme and the quality and cost standards required by the company.
6. Ensure that all work is scheduled to achieve production targets and maintain high quality, while keeping costs within budget.
7. Co-ordinate and control the sub-contractors on the site, provide appropriate information concerning additional requirements and handle any problems which may arise.
8. Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with company procedures and Health and Safety provisions.
Essential Criteria
1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a construction management role within the house-building sector.
2. Experience of overseeing trades and subcontractors, scheduling and calling off material orders, programming, snagging, and liaising with sales.
3. Ability to coach and develop junior members of the construction team.
4. Ability to solve problems on site.
5. Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
6. Able to lead by example and be a good motivator.
7. Able to plan and organise self and others to achieve objectives and deadlines.
8. Take responsibility for and lead the combined project operational team to achieve target start on site, show-home opening, CML, and legal completion targets in line with budgets.
