We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Surveyor with expertise in earthworks and groundworks to join our team. This role is critical in supporting the delivery of high-quality construction projects by providing precise and reliable survey data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct various site surveys including setting out, stockpile measurements, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and monitoring cut and fill progress.
2. Oversee and manage earthwork activities on-site to ensure smooth project execution.
3. Collect, analyse, and interpret survey data using GPS, total stations, and N4CE.
4. Proficiently operate GPS Machine Control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica), including uploading models and conducting machine setup checks.
5. Ensure accurate calculations of cut and fill volumes, ensuring actual work aligns with the design model.
6. Identify discrepancies or potential issues and collaborate with project teams to resolve them efficiently.
7. Provide technical advice and guidance to construction teams regarding earthworks and groundworks.
8. Coordinate with project and engineering managers to ensure the timely delivery of accurate survey information.
9. Capable of working independently on-site, managing your own workload and priorities.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in engineering surveying with a focus on earthworks and groundworks.
2. Proficient in the use of GPS, total stations, and N4CE software.
3. Strong experience in GPS Machine Control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
4. Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data accurately.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance to teams.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks on site.
