Join a leading technology communications company as a PMO Manager!
Job Overview: Our client is creating and mobilising a new Satellite Services company (SatCo) to offer a wholesale satellite proposition to their OpCos, Partner Markets, and selected MNOs. This role involves working across a multi-workstream programme, ensuring governance and methodologies are applied, and consolidating status updates for stakeholders at various levels of the business.
* Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)
* Location: London (hybrid – twice per week on-site)
* Daily Rate: £450 per day through umbrella
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and manage a Programme Management Office (PMO) and define a suitable programme methodology.
* Define and implement a governance framework to track progress and achieve milestones.
* Create and maintain programme-level activity plans, including tracking external and cross-programme dependencies.
* Support Project Managers in identifying, assessing, and managing risks, elevating critical path impacts to the programme level.
* Maintain a log of all programme actions and ensure each action has an owner and is being progressed.
* Define and create programme and workstream reporting templates for regular stakeholder updates.
* Maintain an accurate view of spending against the agreed programme budget, including raising Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
* Provide a repository for all project and programme documentation, ensuring it is complete, current, and accurate.
Key Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, find solutions, and make decisions.
* Excellent reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to present key information appropriately for various stakeholder groups.
* Experience managing Programme Management Offices within complex programmes of business creation or transformation.
* Ability to anticipate and manage risks effectively, assisting parties in reaching mutually agreeable solutions.
* Telecommunications experience is desired.
