About the Role: This is a pioneering partnership between a Childrens Home, NHS Foundation Trust, and Local Authority Council. Together, this team is committed to creating a different kind of home and support system for children and young people in Somerset who have faced significant trauma and adversity. As part of a wider, integrated service, this fostering provision works alongside new children's homes, high-needs foster carers, CAMHS intensive treatment houses, and therapeutic education. This collaborative approach allows the service to offer flexible, holistic support, drawing on the expertise of a diverse multi-disciplinary team. Your Role: Fostering Registered Manager As the Fostering Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the agency's success and ensuring outstanding outcomes for the children in your care. Your key responsibilities will include: Acting as the Registered Manager, ensuring unwavering compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Providing strong and inspirational leadership to the fostering agency team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Overseeing the full lifecycle of foster carers, from recruitment and thorough assessment to comprehensive training and ongoing supervision. Driving strategic business growth and cultivating robust partnerships with local authorities and other key stakeholders. Championing the safeguarding and well-being of all children, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Leading and nurturing a dedicated team, prioritizing their professional development and overall well-being. Maintaining rigorous quality assurance processes and overseeing financial performance to ensure the agency's continued success and sustainability. About You: Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual who brings: A Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration. A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience working directly with children and families. Significant experience within fostering services, ideally within an independent fostering agency setting. Proven experience in people management and providing effective supervision. Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrable ability to motivate, inspire, and drive positive change. A thorough understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding legislation, and best practice principles. A full UK driving licence. Why this role?
