Salary: £65,000pa - £70,000pa + benefits listed below
Working Format: Hybrid working 3 office and 2 home
Reports to: Group Leader (Planning)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist Planner to join our team at Heathrow Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for planning all project activities, ensuring projects are completed successfully, and identifying any opportunities and/or risks well in advance. You will work closely with various disciplines, including project management, sales, engineering, and the supply chain, and will play a key role in the execution of complex projects.
As a Specialist Planner, you will set priorities, manage multiple stakeholders, and be responsible for producing monthly project reports. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the planning function on complex projects while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate project scope into an overall project plan with minimal input from others, ensuring clear decision moments and turnaround times.
* Identify critical paths and corresponding opportunities and risks in the project plan.
* Coordinate project plans with customers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to achieve an integrated project plan.
* Report on the progress of projects and provide advice on the overall project plans.
* Liaise with internal and external parties involved in a project, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
* Lead the preparation of complex plans in consultation with project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
* Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
* Lead multiple complex projects and build programs from scratch, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
Skills and Experience Required
* Minimum of 7+ years of experience in planning, with at least 3 years in a senior planning role.
* Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
* Ability to lead the planning function on complex projects and deliver results under pressure.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel.
* A solid understanding of technical planning techniques, including critical path analysis, cost loading, and the NEC process.
* Experience across the project lifecycle, from tender to completion.
* Aviation and/or baggage experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Delivery integration experience would be beneficial.
