About the Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will work as part of a team responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food and drinks to users of our Food Court at County Hall. You will also be responsible for helping to set up the dining area, moving tables and chairs as necessary, as well as preparing service areas and washing dishes and other used items and cleaning equipment at the end of service.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be willing to undertake any required training.
* Have previous food preparation experience.
* Have basic knowledge of food safety and health and safety.
* Be able to establish rapport with customers.
* Be able to work as part of a team.
* Be able to lift and handle kitchen equipment and move dining furniture.
* Be able to work outside of normal working hours including weekends and bank holidays.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities, and the ability to apply this to all situations.
