The role will include:
To primarily be responsible for the materials buying activities for sites of varying complexity ensuring timely delivery of correct items.
Ensuring orders are raised in accordance with Procurement Procedures so that the business maintains consistency and quality.
Utilise COINS system.
Liaison with other departments on time to ensure sites run efficiently (Accounts).
General procurement administration, assisting with collating, analysing and negotiation of prices.
Placing orders for material goods, services and plant and equipment hire.
What experience, qualifications and skills are we looking for?
A confident and numerate professional who has previous Buyer/procurement experience within either the infrastructure, groundworks, civil engineering or housebuilding Industry.
Detailed knowledge of all relevant infrastructure and groundworks construction materials is essential.
Be self-motivated, asks questions, wants to learn and has a good work ethic.
Must be adaptable and flexible with a consistent approach to compliance and accuracy.
Must be proficient in Excel.
Confident negotiation skills with suppliers and site-based staff.
Previous COINS experience is a distinct advantage, but not essential.

Working 9am -5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch
