If so, we would love to hear from you We are looking for 2 solution-focused and experienced SEND Service Managers who have experience managing a statutory SEND service through a time of rapid improvement and change. One role will be focussed on early years and primary, and one on secondary and preparing for adulthood phases. The SEND Service Manager develops, supports, and champions partnership working across the County. They oversee in excess of 1200 children and young people within their portfolio, managing a team to ensure children and young people achieve positive outcomes through well-planned, integrated, and coordinated services. The SEND Service Manager is responsible for meeting all service targets and national performance indicators. They ensure the Statutory SEND Team is proactive and creative, working in a solution-focused manner, making a positive difference to the outcomes for children, young people, and their families. Role Purpose: The SEND Service Manager plays a crucial role in embedding best practice within their team and developing relationships with key stakeholders. They are responsible for improving the quality of life for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Bath and North East Somerset. Main Responsibilities: Manage a team to ensure high-quality practice and positive outcomes for vulnerable children Provide high-quality supervision to team members, strengthening practice and ensuring consistency Lead the coordination and delivery of SEND statutory processes, ensuring compliance with regulations Promote local and national policies on inclusion, taking account of local initiatives Collaborate with managers and professionals in other services for effective planning and organisation Support and develop the delivery of assessment, preventative interventions, and statutory processes related to LA provision for children and young people aged 0-25 with high-level SEND Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of changing case law and legal changes in SEND Ensure systems are established for accurate data recording and financial transactions Provide management support through regular structured supervision and professional guidance.
