We are seeking a skilled Children and Young People Counsellor to provide specialist therapeutic counselling services for young people aged 11-17 within a non-judgmental and confidential framework. The ideal candidate will possess high-level therapeutic skills, the ability to work autonomously, and experience in handling sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide counselling services to young people aged 11-18 who have experienced sexual violence or abuse.
* Undertake specific administration duties related to the children and young people's service.
* Liaise with referrers, SARC staff, primary health care teams, and voluntary agencies.
The successful applicant will be required to assess risk of harm to clients/self/others/property, share information in respect of safeguarding, and adhere to current guidance and policies. They will also need to manage their own workload, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records using MODUS (electronic Client Management System).
