This role has a starting salary of £35,730 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This is a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunity.
We are excited to be hiring a new Specialist Payroll Officer to join our fantastic team. The team is based in Weybridge, but we promote a hybrid approach to working, meeting 2 days per week in the office.

About the Role
As the Specialist Payroll Officer, you will hold responsibility for delivering specialised aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in payroll processes, alongside a strong commitment to accountability and providing outstanding support to employees, stakeholders and customers. Key responsibilities include:
* Utilising specialist knowledge to address complex payroll scenarios and contribute to the overall efficiency of the payroll function
* Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve complex payroll issues and provide expert guidance
* Staying abreast of existing and emerging payroll laws, regulation and taxation legislation to ensure the payroll function is in compliance
* Providing expert guidance and solutions to complex payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally
* Collaborating with leadership, the payroll team, and relevant departments to implement enhancements that enhance efficiency and accuracy
* Identifying and sharing best practices across the team to ensure maximum efficiency and process improvements
