Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join RM Medicines as a Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be integral to providing leadership and direction to the pharmacy team with an aim of providing a high-quality outpatient pharmacy service to patients at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. RM Medicines is a wholly owned subsidiary, created by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust to provide outpatient pharmacy services, focussed on ensuring efficient and safe supply of medicines to patients. Individuals recruited to the RM Medicines team will be supported to provide expert care to oncology patients and will benefit from training and the learning experiences of working closely with an institute providing outstanding, leading-edge treatment to cancer patients. This post would suit a candidate with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment, for which appropriate training will be provided. Full time/ Flexible working and Part time (min 22.5hrs/week) will be considered. Main duties of the job To lead on the efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of a high quality Outpatient Pharmacy service to patients and users by maintaining a high standard of professionalism and safety in accordance with legislation, General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) legislation, applicable Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) Professional standards and recognised good practice. To contribute to the optimisation and development of the Outpatient Pharmacy. To participate in improvement audits and investigation of errors and implement identified service improvement when necessary.
