About The Role
Location: Cross Green
Hours: 6AM - 5PM
As a Banksman, you will be responsible for safely directing the movement of vehicles on site.
Roles And Responsibilities
* To ensure all traffic movements within the yard are controlled and safe
* Ensure clear communication and signals with drivers and weighbridge operators at all times
* Ensure first time visiting drivers have completed the site induction
* Ensure site operating times are complied with, by all arriving and departing vehicles
* Report all instances where drivers do not comply with movement instructions
* Monitor correct PPE usage at all times
* Monitor and keep yard clear of debris and obstacles
* Request cleaning staff to be deployed when required within the yard areas
* Assist other areas when required
Skills And Experience
* Strong communication skills – essential
* Experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial
* Team player
* Able to work on own initiative
* Comfortable with working predominately outdoors
