Job Description
Our client is a global asset management company.
They are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join the IT Team.
You will be responsible for the Linux systems, and with the existing team, keep the company's Servers, security systems, and datacentres in good health. The job takes place in a fast-moving environment where system redundancy, reliability, and uptime are essential. You will be required to work on your own at times, and to operate within the established change control framework.
Base Salary is up to £90k + bonus + benefits, 1 day a week in Cambridge
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems
* Investigate and diagnose problems
* Recommend and implement improvements to the company's Linux systems
* Planning and implementation of new systems
* Follow and improve existing procedures,
* Operate within the established change control framework.
Qualifications & Experience
You are a proficient Systems Administrator with good problem-solving skills. You are also an excellent communicator and team player who is willing to help other members of the team across a wide variety of tasks.
The following areas of expertise are essential for the role:
* Linux (RHEL 8)
* Puppet/Ansible
* Satellite/Foreman
* Monitoring (Nagios/Graylog)
* Managing web Servers (Apache/Nginx)
* Strong experience with Bash
* Managing integration with Active Directory
They also use the following technologies, experience in these will be highly desirable, however not essential.
* VMware ESX 7
* Windows Active Directory administration
* Gitlab administration
* Jenkins administration
* Ansible Automation Platform/AWX
* Rundeck
* PagerDuty Integrations
* Cisco Duo Secure or other MFA solutions
* Citrix Virtual Desktop and Apps
* HPE DL series Servers
* Netapp/Pure Storage solutions
* Juniper Firewalls
* Cisco Nexus Switches
