ABOUT TRG Track Record Global (TRG) are experts in natural material supply chain assessments, verifying that the legislation in place to protect consumers and the environment is adhered to as well as ensuring that the environmental claims made by our clients are traceable. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a Team Lead who will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, training, support and resourcing of their own assessment team, ensuring assessments adhere to TRG agreed standards and are completed within the agreed timeframes. The Team Lead will support the Compliance Manager in all other strategic, forecasting, training development and planning requirements of the Responsible Sourcing team. ABOUT THE ROLE The key objectives of this role are: Maintain and support training programme being delivered by Knowledge team Oversee team performance to meet agreed assessment turnaround times and client SLAs. Manage own allocation of assessments (70% of time) Support & resolve team’s assessment queries, or escalate when needed Review performance and development of own team Asses the internal audit results and manage team development accordingly Support compliance manager in all other duties and responsibilities. Provide cover for the compliance manager or any other leadership role when required. Key responsibilities include: Work with Responsible Sourcing Compliance Manager to ensure assessment teams deliver on time assessments. Work with Responsible Sourcing Compliance Manager to maintain work processes and to identify opportunities for improvement and productivity gain. Manage and work to agreed KPIs per assessment and take corrective action if not being met. Provide guidance on assessment protocols and compliance queries to their own team. With guidance from Assessment Manager deliver and record effective 1-2-1s and Appraisals in line with TRG guidelines for own team Motivate team members to attain goals and support continuous improvement. Identify skills gaps and propose staff development and training for their own team. ABOUT YOU We are looking for someone who has: Existing knowledge and experience of timber supply chains and responsible sourcing compliance. Strong planning and workload management skills. The ability to proactively look for continuous improvements. Resilience and is adept at receiving constructive feedback to take away and implement. Experience in managing primary and secondary teams, with a direct yet positive approach. A decisive, problem-solving mindset, who uses existing knowledge to identify where change is needed.
