Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate mechanical cost estimates for residential and commercial projects. Analyse project drawings, specifications, and requirements to determine costings. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain competitive pricing. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and bid proposals. Collaborate with pre-construction and project teams to ensure estimates align with project goals. Assess risk factors and identify value engineering opportunities. Attend client meetings and site visits as required. Provide technical input and support during the bid process. Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, costs, and industry regulations. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and installation processes. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and work to tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of current market rates and industry regulations. Experience working within commercial and residential building services. Understanding of the building fabric and its impact on mechanical installations.
