School Administrator (Attendance Focus) South Tyneside Employer: Protocol Education Contract Type: Full-time (Term Time Only), Temporary Salary: £12 - £15 per hour, depending on experience Protocol Education is seeking an experienced School Administrator for a school in South Tyneside. This role will primarily focus on managing student attendance, ensuring efficient day-to-day administrative operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the school’s attendance system, including recording, tracking, and reporting student attendance daily. Communicate with parents/carers regarding attendance, absences, and punctuality, ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly. Prepare and distribute attendance reports for senior leadership and external agencies as required. Work closely with the pastoral team and teachers to address attendance issues, supporting initiatives to improve overall attendance rates. Handle a range of general administrative duties, including managing enquiries, maintaining school records, and supporting the office team as needed. Provide administrative support for meetings, school events, and other key activities. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a school administration role is essential. Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and school management software (e.g., SIMS or Arbor). Experience managing attendance systems, with a solid understanding of attendance regulations and reporting requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with parents, students, and staff. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A proactive, solution-focused approach, with great attention to detail.
