Which brings us onto the role… Your Role This is a newly created role for a Finance and Procurement Assistant to join our growing team at our main site, Pepperness, near Sandwich in Kent. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day record keeping and purchase ledger for the Farm. This role will be closely mentored by, and report to, our Head of Farm Finance, and work closely with our brilliant finance team based in Edinburgh. Occasional travel to Edinburgh and London will be required. Requirements All the responsibilities we will trust you with (dependant on experience): Liaising with suppliers. Processing of purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders. Assistance with supplier onboarding. Processing of company card spend. Reconciliation of bank accounts. Processing and posting of sales invoices, and liaison with sales team Credit control. Compilation of bi-monthly payment runs for review. Assistance with preparation of management accounts. Maintenance of the fixed asset register. Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: No experience required and on the job training provided. Part AAT and AAT qualified individuals considered. Graduates to have obtained or be predicted a minimum 2:2 degree, in any discipline. School leavers to have obtained A Level: Minimum 112 UCAS points in top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies GCSE: Minimum Grade 5 (or equivalent), in English Language and Maths respectively. Opportunity to study AAT, ACA or CIMA under the apprenticeship scheme. The qualification offered will be dependent on level of experience and proven ability on the job. You’ll be supported in completing your qualification; gaining the finance knowledge, accountancy skills and real-world business experience to jumpstart your career. Your qualification training will be supported by a leading UK training provider, and you’ll be given the space and time to study whilst developing a variety of skills to become a well-rounded bookkeeper.
