We are currently working with a leading and ever-growing Engineering Manufacturer who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder Fabricator, who has experience in working with sheet metal materials ranging in thickness from 0.7mm to 3mm. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of precision and the ability to work within tight tolerances, delivering high-quality welds that meet exacting standards.
Welder Fabricator - Key Responsibilities:
* Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on thin sheet metal (0.7mm–3mm) and mild steel components (up to 6mm).
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
* Ensure welds meet quality and dimensional standards, often within tight tolerances.
* Inspect finished workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
* Perform minor fabrication tasks including bending, cutting, and shaping of sheet metal.
* Maintain clean and safe work environment in accordance with company health & safety policies.
* Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines.
Welder Fabrication - Candidate:
* Proven experience welding sheet metal and mild steel components.
* Proficiency in TIG welding techniques.
* Ability to work with tolerances as tight as 0.7mm.
* Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
* Familiarity with workshop tools and safe handling of materials.
The Welder position is offering Circa. £31,000 - £37,000 salary – overtime available plus benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our client’s site in the Pudsey area.
