We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join our enthusiastic and committed team. The role will involve collegiate working between the nursery class and P1 classes, with P1 being the initial placement for session 2024/25 and 2025/26.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the wider early years team and will initially focus on play pedagogy in Primary 1. The role will involve facilitating the transition from Nursery into Primary and supporting learning through play.
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Early Years Practitioner committed to providing an excellent early years and P1 experience, based on mutual respect, partnership, participation, and fun. Ratho Primary and Early Years Centre is on campus with Ratho Primary School, situated in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included, and able to be their best at work, and we recognize the benefits that a diverse workforce brings to us as an organization.
To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity, and Flexibility into your ways of working.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
