JOB LOCATION: Oban
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
Manage phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Process reservations and cancellations accurately using the hotel management system.
Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times.
Assist guests with their requests during their stay, including room changes or special needs.
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
Prepare daily reports on occupancy rates and other relevant metrics as required.
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using computer systems for reservations and check-ins.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an advantage, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
A friendly disposition with a professional appearance is essential.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
