A well-established real estate development company is seeking a Corporate Controller to manage its accounting operations, financial closings, and cash flow management across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily accounting operations, including reviewing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly accruals.
2. Manage the financial closing process and ensure timely completion of financial statements for executive review, typically by mid-month.
3. Administer cash management for all entities, including intercompany cash balances, capital calls, and weekly cash reporting.
4. Handle property tax administration, including annual tax assessments and payments.
5. Support hotel capital expenditures and manage development accounting, including loan draws and pro forma modeling for projects.
6. Oversee lender and investor financial reporting requirements.
7. Collaborate with tax consultants to manage tax projections and returns.
8. Assist the CFO and President with special projects, including annual hotel budgets and financial audits.
Qualifications:
9. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
10. CPA required.
11. Minimum 3 years of corporate controller experience, preferably within real estate.
12. Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
13. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on problem-solving and maintaining professional relationships.
