A&T Technician vacancy in Wolverhampton (190DM)
Job Summary
Our client is looking for experienced Fitter/Testers to join the Assembly and test team on days for a 6-9 month fixed term contract. This role is working 37 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 7.30 am – 4.15 pm and Friday 7.30 am – 11.30 am.
Their team works to exceptionally close tolerances, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry. Within the role, you’ll be assembling Valves, Manifolds, and Flight Critical Actuators with high precision. You’ll regularly use measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Height Gauges. You’ll work from engineering drawings and work Instructions, complete quality audits, and take responsibility for various aspects of the A&T process including cleaning, stripping, assembly, and testing.
Key Skills
1. Apprentice trained (or equivalent level of qualification) ideally within Mechanical Engineering.
2. Proven experience within an engineering/manufacturing role is essential, ideally within aerospace or related industries.
3. Good knowledge of assembly and test manufacturing (ideally with mechanical gearboxes).
4. The successful candidate will be comfortable reading and following different set procedures.
5. They are looking for someone who is dynamic and possesses a proactive attitude.
Security Clearance
* Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
