Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Sussex Teachers, in partnership with a community Primary School in Worthing, is excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This role starts in February 2025, with a temporary contract until July 2025, and the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
About the Role
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to children with special educational needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualized learning plans.
* Foster positive behaviour, independence, and personal development.
* Support the classroom environment by assisting with planning, preparation, and classroom displays.
* Undertake midday meals duties and provide pastoral care as required.
* Start Date: February 2025 (or as soon as possible).
* Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term-time only.
* Contract Type: Temporary to July 2025 (with potential extension).
