Our market-leading client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The suitable candidate will have good fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate, along with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience.

Person Specification
1. Time served Mechanical Engineer with a number of years' experience in manufacturing
2. Minimum City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering
3. Good fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate, along with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
4. Experience of planned maintenance and continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
5. Well organised, self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines
6. Good attention to detail
7. Proactive approach to problem solving
8. Good timekeeping and attendance
9. Must be eligible and able to prove you can work in the UK, as the Company does not hold a sponsorship licence
Your Responsibilities
1. Performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site
2. Supporting the day-to-day manufacturing process in the most efficient manner, whilst working within a team structure
3. Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
4. Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements to prevent reoccurrence
5. Communicating with Production Managers / Team Leaders on progress of issues
6. Completing scheduled maintenance
7. Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs, and reporting status within the maintenance recording system
