What's my role and where will I fit in?
1. Schedule and reactive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines
2. Report and plan daily maintenance activity
3. Coordinate local spare part and consumable stock
4. Fault-finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on all turbine systems, which will include mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies and major components
5. Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime
6. Supervise specialist and subcontractor activity during main component exchange
7. Provide safety induction to contractors and visitors
8. Provide out of hours and weekend response to turbine breakdown (approx. every 2 weeks)
9. Ensure the highest level of turbine availability
You'll be a time-served Engineer (electrical/mechanical) with a primary focus on ensuring operations and maintenance activities are undertaken to the highest levels. You'll ideally hold an AT/AE qualification under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and have significant technical expertise gained through a blend of academic (Electrical or Mechanical HNC/HND/NVQ) and hands-on operational environments.
