Position: Graduate Assistant Sports Coach (One year fixed-term)
Hours: This is a term-time only position working 32.5 hours per week
The closing date for this position will be Tuesday 22 April 2025

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Graduate Assistant Sports Coach to support our PE department.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To assist the PE department with curriculum lessons, co-curricular practices and the fixture program
2. To provide high quality coaching in either directed lesson or during activity sessions
3. To take training and matches as directed by the Director of Sport
4. Support and contribute to the teaching of the department as set out in the timetable
5. To be involved with planning and preparation of lessons and activities, the management of resources and compilation of assessments, records and reports as deemed necessary
To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following:
1. Someone who provides a passion for sports coaching
2. All applicants should have experience working with young people in some capacity and have a general knowledge of how to enthuse, lead and manage teams or groups
3. Applicants should demonstrate a clear understanding of the secondary curriculum and its assessment
4. The right candidate will have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships with pupils and establish personal boundaries
5. They will be organised, punctual and efficient in organising workload and managing time effectively
