Working in our Data & Analytics Team
Supporting our clients make evidence-led decisions is a key part of how we deliver positive change at PPL. Our Data & Analytics Team specialise in working with large-scale, complex datasets to deliver practical insights that help clients answer the questions that matter most to them. We use a range of tools from SQL to R Studio to Power BI to Azure Cloud Services to develop innovative solutions, communicate complex analysis clearly, and help clients use data to drive day-to-day improvement.
The Data & Analytics Team works closely with generalist consultants and other specialists at PPL on programmes of work that bring together colleagues with different skillsets to drive positive change.
Senior Data Analyst @ PPL

As a Senior Data Analyst at PPL, key responsibilities include:
* Delivering complex analytics projects, working with large datasets and managing teams of consultants and data engineers.
* Leading analytics-focused business development, developing PPL’s presence and relationships with our clients, and taking new offers to market
* Developing innovative analytics solutions, particularly in the health and social care space with public sector clients, that drive positive impact.

About the role
We offer a unique opportunity for individuals to develop and deploy data analyst skills on a wide range of innovative projects aimed at improving public sector outcomes across the UK. This role is based in our London offices in SE1, and on client sites as required. As the lead of the newly formed Data and Analytics Team, you will spearhead the development of PPL’s analytical capabilities, driving value and insight from diverse public sector datasets. Your role will also involve developing our data infrastructure and delivering impactful analytics projects that support our clients, including the NHS and local government.
The salary for this role ranges from £57,750 – £63,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.

What we are looking for
PPL is focussed on delivering consistently excellent services to our clients and the communities they serve. Being at the cutting edge of public sector reform is not easy, and we are looking for individuals who are ready to work independently, learn quickly, manage others, and build relationships with clients based on trust and consistently high-quality delivery. Senior Data Analysts will be expected to lead on project delivery with oversight from senior PPL leads and support from analysts, consultants, and data engineers.
Senior Data Analysts are also expected to be subject matter experts when it comes to data & analytics, working across PPL to identify opportunities to add value through data analysis, to ensure analysis is always delivered to a high standard, and to productise solutions developed by PPL colleagues and drive business development.
Our ideal candidate has:
* A proven track record applying rigorous quantitative and statistical methods to complex datasets to evaluate, model, and provide insight into real-world problems.
* Proficiency with database management tools (e.g. SQL), analytical tools (e.g. Azure Synapse, Python, R Studio) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
* Experience in building and maintaining client relationships in the analytics space.
* An ability to support new business opportunities, from concept to contract award.
* Experience in managing and recruiting data analytics teams.
* Experience applying the above skills in the health and care space (desirable)
