Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff, and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based in Ipswich.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique varied environment.
Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role:
* To provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance.
* To repair and maintain a wide range of electrical services and equipment on site.
* Fault finding and diagnosis.
* Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant.
* Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.
* Will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Knowledge and experience of standard and specialist aspects of electrical services.
* Understanding and knowledge of the inter-relationship between the building trades and electrical & mechanical services.
* Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations within the Workplace.
* The Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems - HTM 2020.
Experience
* Two years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical versatility and flexibility.
* Experience of working in a mental health & secure services environment.
Qualifications
* Recognised & registered EITB minimum 3 year apprenticeship as in Electrical Engineering.
* City & Guilds 236 Parts A & B OR City & Guilds 2330 Electro Technical Technology inc. AM1 & AM2 or equivalent OR NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering.
* City & Guilds BS7671 - 18th Edition of the I.E.E. Regulations.
* Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles.
* BTEC ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Portable Appliance Test Certificate.
* C&G or equivalent - Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems.
