A leading Construction company requires a commercially focused Finance Manager to manage a small team.
We are looking for an experienced accountant to support a busy finance team. This is a rewarding and dynamic role that requires a proactive and people-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, the ability to use their own initiative, and a flexible approach to work. They will also play a key role in assisting with management accounts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Office based
Your new role
* Account and bank reconciliations, balance accounts, balance sheet etc
* Journal and reporting entries
* Support management accounts preparation
* Supporting internal and external audits
* Deal with queries / complaints
* Liaising with suppliers and Managers
* Lead and support the finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
* Address and resolve any internal staffing issues in a fair and professional manner
* Data input and processing
* Use of Sage Line 50 for financial accounts
* Ability to work effectively as part of a finance team
* Uphold Data Protection Policies
* Any other Ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
* Fully Qualified Accountant
* At least 2 years' experience in managing a finance team
* Strong analytical skills, and ability to assess relevance of information, prioritise and ensure appropriate action
* Experience of working on a finance team producing prompt data/KPI for management
* Internal or external auditor experience
* Experience of Sage Line 50
* Be capable of working on own initiative
* Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Have a good timekeeping and attendance record
* Have the ability to work with a wide range of people, be part of a team
* Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions
* Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards assigned tasks
* ROI RCT knowledge an advantage
* Be reliable & committed
* Have ability to work to deadlines
* Have ability to problem solve
* Have a positive approach to continuous improvement processes and techniques
* In addition, the role may require the successful candidate to undertake work specific training on the job or externally.
