Main Responsibilities
As a Retail Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities. You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store, such as:
* Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
* Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk
* Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
* Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress
* Completing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with company policy
* Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
* Providing detailed and legible incident reports to assist the Client and Local Authorities
Location: Wrexham
Hours: 50 per week
Shift Pattern: Mon, Wed, Thur (10:30 - 19:00), Fri (09:30 - 19:00), Sat (09:00 - 18:00), Sun (10:30 - 16:30)
Hourly Rate: £11.95
The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator, providing detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You must be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualification
You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be given.
