Role: Delivery Lead

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to client locations (maybe a couple of times a month)
Contract length: 3 month (high chance of extension)
Rate: £500 - £550 (outside IR35)
Overview:
Our customer is seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Lead to join their team on a 3-month rolling contract basis. This role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery, and fostering a positive, autonomous working culture within a team of engineers. You will need a blend of account management, line management, project delivery expertise, and the ability to inspire and lead teams to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
* Take full ownership of project delivery using a hybrid methodology of Agile and Decision-Driven Delivery.
* Lead daily stand-ups to prioritise tasks, ensure clarity, and maintain project momentum.
* Collaborate with client-side stakeholders to refine project scopes and set clear objectives.
* Facilitate the creation of decision tickets to deliver the right features within agreed timescales.
Team Leadership:
* Act as one of two line managers for the engineers, supporting their growth and maintaining team morale.
* Foster a positive, autonomous career environment for engineers, encouraging accountability and creativity.
* Tailor management approaches to individual preferences, from regular one-to-ones to a more hands-off style.
Client Engagement and Account Management:
* Build strong relationships with clients, including weekly meetings with client project managers.
* Work closely with clients to align project delivery with their expectations and long-term vision.
* Identify and track commercial opportunities, ensuring accurate monthly billing and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partner with the technical lead to manage team dynamics and align project execution with strengths and capabilities.
* Participate in internal management meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
