Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and deliver engaging lessons using Information Learning Technology (ILT) and multimedia resources, support the expansion and development of T Level and A Level provision, and contribute to curriculum planning. Responsibilities include delivering subject-specific programmes, maintaining academic records, developing student support systems, and ensuring high-quality course delivery. Collaboration with course teams and participation in ongoing professional development are key aspects of the role.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree or relevant professional qualification in Digital/Computing, along with a proven track record of excellent teaching. Experience in developing innovative curricula that meet the needs of learners is essential. You should feel confident delivering T Level and A Level qualification, including next-generation courses, and possess a solid understanding of internal and external verification processes. Experience in the computing industry is highly desirable. Your ability to engage students, adapt to evolving technologies, and contribute to curriculum development will be crucial for your success.
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).
