Job summary We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary Chronic Pain Management Service. A Clinical Nurse Specialist in Chronic Pain provides expert advice, information and support for patients, delivering a combination of both individual and group based interventions. We require someone who can work both autonomously and as part of a team, and demonstrates leadership, innovation and be self-motivated. The successful applicant will need to be flexible regarding hours worked. The successful applicant will be expected to deputise for the Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, to participate in the operational management of the Chronic Pain Unit at BGH and assist in the Professional management and development of the Chronic Pain Nursing team. They will be involved in service development, audit and research and service evaluation. They must be able to demonstrate evidence of recent learning and examples of continued professional and clinical development. Specific education to include completing recognised pain management training and to complete V300, Independent prescribing.
