The role
The role holder will undertake demanding, intellectually stimulating work as part of a small, dynamic team. They will:
* Support the development and delivery of our strategic objectives, including by embedding, updating and driving delivery of our strategic plans.
* Provide strategic support to teams across the organisation, tackling diverse challenges in a complex regulatory environment.
* Identify emerging opportunities and risks, helping the organisation to adapt as the world changes around us.
* Manage the organisation’s Leadership Development Programme, supporting high potential individuals to thrive.
About you
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Is intellectually curious and analytically rigorous. We need an all-round problem solver, but familiarity with quantitative analytical methods would be an advantage.
* Is motivated to work in a dynamic environment.
* Enjoys being stretched and is able to grasp complex ideas quickly.
* Has strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation.
* Is highly organised and able to get stuff done, with experience of project or programme management.
* Has a growth mindset and the ability to nurture talent and inspire others.

Selection process details
The Office for Students (OfS) is an independent public body, and our employees are public servants, not civil servants. If you join us from the Civil Service, your pension will carry with you but other length of service benefits such as maternity or annual leave will not. However, previous service will be included in any exit calculation, subject to prevailing CSCS rules.
Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.
Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
