Level 6 Civil Engineering Apprentice
Salary - £24,735 (Year 1 £24,735 Year 2, 3, 4 & 5 (subject to future NLW pay awards)
Hours - 37
Contract type - full time/fixed term (66 months)
We have a new and exciting opportunity within the Black Country Transport Team for a Civil Engineering apprentice(s). This is an excellent position for someone who has an interest in civil engineering and would like to pursue a career within this specialism. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the qualifications received will be a BEng (Hons) Civil and Transportation Engineering.
About the Team:
The role will also include working with Black Country Transport partners of Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall Councils assisting with the development and delivery of Black Country Transport Projects.
Entry Requirements:
Please note the qualification criteria for the Civil Engineering academic programme is set by the University for entry onto the apprenticeship and the City of Wolverhampton Council will be liaising with the University of Wolverhampton prior to ensure candidates have met the entry criteria prior to any conditional offer of employment.
Essential
* A Levels - grades C or above (out of the three A Levels, one A Level must be in Mathematics and one A Level must be in a Physical Science)
* BTEC L3 Extended Diploma grades M in a subject relevant to Civil Engineering or Construction/Built Environment Engineering and must include mathematics modules.
* GCSE passes at Grade 4 or above in English
* GCSE passes at Grade 4 or above in Maths
* Obtaining the post will be dependent on firstly successfully completing an interview process with the Council and then being accepted by the University to study for BEng (Hons) Civil and Transportation Engineering.

Please note if you are a candidate who is currently in their last year of studying, evidence of predicted grades will be required at application stage.
* Your application should also include information on why you want to train within the relating sector and current knowledge of the sector.
* Non-UK Nationals: To be eligible for this post, you must have resided in the UK for the last three years.

* If you have achieved maths and English qualifications overseas, you must provide an ENIC certificate to be eligible for the role.
