My client (nursery) in South Croydon is seeking a Deputy Manager.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Deputy Manager to join our 56 place Children’s Day Nursery.
What the job involves:
To support and share the task of leading and inspiring our team with the Head Teacher, to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care. To be the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding responsibility for the management of safeguarding and child protection. Also, taking the lead in all active safeguarding and child protection incidents and policy updates.
In partnership with the Nursery Management Team:
1. Inward facing: identify and deliver relevant training and staff development plans, assist in keeping policies relevant and up-to-date, ensure efficient and effective working practices are consistently applied and adhered to, work in the rooms as a supernumerary member.
2. Outward facing: maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, promote the nursery and maintain occupancy levels. Contribute to the development and delivery of additional support measures for children and families with unmet needs.
What we would like you to bring:
1. Relevant level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
2. Experience within an Early Years leadership role or the ability to demonstrate success in the role.
3. Sound knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies, along with the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
4. Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers.
5. Good understanding of SEND in Early Years.
6. IT Proficient.
