Senior QA Technician Humdinger, Bromborough CH62 3RD Position type: Full-time, permanent Hours: 39 Pay range : £13.93 /Hour (£28,250.04 equivalent) Breaks: 2 x 30 minutes Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday: Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00 Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00 Friday: Week 1: 06:00 - 13:00 Week 2: 13:00 - 20:00 Week 3: 20:00 - 03:00 As a Senior QA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process. Your contributions will help drive continuous improvement and ensure our products meet both company and customer expectations. Conduct rigorous chemical and microbiological analysis of finished products at designated intervals, ensuring they meet agreed-upon specifications. Oversee the adherence to current legislation and company policies throughout all manufacturing processes. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying company values to enhance quality and operational efficiency. Comply with all company and legislative health and safety policies, procedures, and requirements to ensure a safe working environment. Support the QA Manager/Supervisor by investigating customer complaints and identifying potential quality issues. Perform weekly Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits to maintain compliance with established company standards. Ensure strict documentation control and verify that operators are following the Good Manufacturing Practices outlined in the Quality Manual. Identify non-conforming products and ensure all corrective actions are documented and implemented effectively. Monitor the performance of the average weight system, taking prompt corrective actions when necessary. Address day-to-day quality issues and collaborate with teams to implement long-term corrective actions. Assist in the Raw Material Inwards procedure, performing sampling and visual inspections as required to meet business demands. Contribute to the company’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement through active participation in relevant programs and projects. Perform a variety of QA-related tasks and projects as directed by the Quality Manager, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Support internal audit activities and assist in the review and implementation of HACCP plans to maintain food safety standards. Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment or a similar industry. Proven experience in Quality Assurance. Strong knowledge of HACCP principles. Familiarity with chemical handling and COSHH regulations. Valid Food Hygiene Certificate. Experience in auditing processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in mathematics, including averages, percentages, decimal places, and metric weights. Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Basic knowledge of microbiology, sensory evaluation, and information technology. Ability to conduct basic investigations and demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.
