What We’re Looking For At least 3 years’ experience working in a children’s residential setting. Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification). Proven experience in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home with a track record of achieving high inspection outcomes. A strong understanding of the challenges and needs of children in residential care. Key Responsibilities Assist in the leadership and management of the home, ensuring a warm and supportive environment for children and young people. Support the Registered Manager in achieving Good or Outstanding ratings in Ofsted inspections. Ensure the home meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements. Provide guidance, supervision, and training to staff, fostering a culture of growth and professional development. Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals. Support in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
