Teaching Assistant
Location: Cambridge, UK
Contract: Full-time, Part -time
Start Date: Immediate start available
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the academic and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students with their learning needs.
* Work with small groups or individual students to provide tailored support, both in the classroom and during activities.
* Help students with their personal development, including social and emotional support.
* Provide support for students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensure they are included in all classroom activities.
* Support the preparation of learning materials and resources.
* Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
* Monitor and track student progress and communicate with the class teacher regarding any concerns or developments.
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role in an educational setting.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and how to support students with varying learning needs.
* Ability to work effectively with students of different ages and abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* A flexible and adaptable attitude to the needs of the classroom.
Desirable Criteria:
* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
* Experience working with children with SEN or additional learning needs.
* First aid qualification.
