Senior Office 365 Applications Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Senior Office 365 Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of collaboration and productivity within The Health Informatics Service (THIS) and its customers.
In this role, you will:
* Collaborate with business and technology teams to guide organisations through their Microsoft 365 migration journey and unlock the full potential of their investment in this powerful platform.
* Serve as a trusted adviser to managers and teams, helping them adopt new ways of working by recommending and implementing solutions tailored to their needs.
Main duties of the job:
* Taking advice and guidance from the Cloud Technology Officer and acting on requirements set out by deliverable scopes of works coming from the Technology and Business Offices.
* Advising customers on best utilisation and setups of Office 365 technologies, such as Teams, One Drive, Intune, including mobile devices, SharePoint, Exchange Online.
* Responsible for ensuring the technical elements of DCB1596 is maintained, including managing / working with external testing procedures.
* Working closely with End User computing and IT Security teams to ensure that any changes made are subject to change control procedures and agreement with such teams.
* Work with IT Data protection teams ensuring that any new technology in use that may require longer term retention is covered by supporting backup technology and understand how such data can be recovered by such technology and in accordance with Information Governance and data records management policy.
* Ensuring the operational health of the Microsoft 365 environment including security, availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability and reliability.
* Maintenance of SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, items, permissions and access etc.) and working with the Web Development team for identity customisation's where required.
* Assist in the administration and support of an enterprise-level Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive infrastructure, mobile access etc.
Person Specification:
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
* Educated to Master's Degree standard or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience.
* Attendance of Microsoft Lead courses in appropriate subjects surrounding Office 365 Technology.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Willingness to undertake professional training relating to the role.
* Associated Microsoft qualifications in the Office 365 technology.
* ITIL Foundation.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
* Significant practical experience on technical aspects of Microsoft 365 deployments at the enterprise level.
* Extensive knowledge in O365 technologies with experience of two or more of the following: Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive for Business, Teams.
* Significant experience of Power Automate, MS Forms, Bookings.
* Extensive experience of O365 management tools for example, Intune, Azure, AAD, and the other O365 management portals.
* Experience in managing and supporting; OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, Yammer, etc.
* High level demonstrable experience in managing and supporting; SharePoint/Intune implementations, migration and administration functions.
* Experience administering O365, Exchange, Azure Active Directory, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint environment.
* Experience with data sovereignty situations and options to comply.
* Experienced in providing technical support to IT teams and end-user support to individuals, and previous experience of liaising with Microsoft Premier Support personnel.
* Experience with PowerShell Scripting.
* Ability to understand and implement all elements of NHS Digital's DCB1596 as it evolves.
* Good understanding of Office 365 licensing, and features enabled by each tier.
* Able to manage conflict and complexity.
* Ability to deal with complex queries trust wide and analyse and resolve issues for service users on specialist Software and technical equipment.
* Provide practical training to clinicians/consultants with ongoing use of systems; provide support in technological advancements and up to date Training material.
* Awareness of security and the need to keep systems up to date and securely patched in line with the organisations IT policies.
* Able to influence others and negotiate and agree priorities.

* Willing to learn new skills.
* Flexible approach to work and a 'can do' attitude.
* Ability to document complex installations so less skilled staff can learn and support more complicated systems.

* Advanced Keyboard use and use of Microsoft Office Tools to provide accurate information for use in system migrations data migrations and report writing to provide highly accurate and up to date information.
* Able to manage conflict and complexity.
* Able to Manage own work to deliver agreed programmes on time and in full.
* Able to fulfil the health requirements of the post as identified in the Job Description, taking into account any reasonable adjustments recommended by Occupational Health.
* Highly developed specialised knowledge in Office 365 through experience and additional study.
* Knowledge of previous system testing methods without impacting live environments.
* Forward planning to support your Personal/Professional Development Plan (PDP).
* Knowledge of e-mail security such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT.
* Extensive knowledge of enterprise backup systems in particular Commvault Simpana Version 11 and upwards, or Veeam / Barracuda. Including backup and restore procedures, impact on performance and end user experience.
