What's involved with this role: Temporary Finance Business Partner – Financial Services/Housing Reference no: NW Leicestershire 5257581 Pay Rate: Up to £20.22 per hour PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 36.25 hours Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: Coalville, Leicestershire Hybrid working – mainly working from home. Equipment will be provided. The purpose of the role is to deliver financial accounting and drive performance improvements through effective financial monitoring, advice and support by partnering with services. Key Responsibilities: Champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money with service areas. Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with team managers and their teams. Produce month end financial monitoring and lead services in undertaking regular and timely review and challenge. Support and advise strategic and operational decision-making, driving commercial opportunities and better business performance. Undertake specific duties as part of the production of the annual statement of accounts. Undertake specific duties in a designated area of specialism on behalf of the team. Support key projects with the provision of financial advice. Qualification. AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years post qualification experience within a financial environment or substantial relevant demonstrable experience in finance. Skills & Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge of accounting for Housing Revenue Accounts (HRA). Experience of budget preparation and monitoring. Experience of Finance Business Partnering. Experience/understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements. Experience and knowledge of accounting for Housing Revenue Accounts. A sound understanding of general accounting principles. Experience in the use of MS Excel and MS Word (or equivalent) and integrated financial systems. Ability to interpret and advise on financial and performance data. Experience of closing down the HRA year-end accounts. Experience of effective budget preparation and monitoring. Experience/understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements.
