We seek an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bicester.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead small projects, researching and developing designs for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities, etc.
* Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services purposes
* Survey, test, and report on existing electrical/mechanical installations
* Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications and customer requirements
* Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors
* Prepare specification modifications (word or excel)
* Validate engineering calculations and drawings against industry and legal standards
* Support project delivery according to RED Project Delivery Process expectations
Requirements
You will require:
* HND or degree qualification or equivalent experience
* MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent certification (working towards)
* Chartered Engineer status (working towards)
* Experience in specification design/drawing for at least one building type
* Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
* Proficiency in MS Office and IT-based calculation software
* Good understanding of BS standards
* Ability to prioritize workload and work to deadlines
* Managerial skills
* Act in an ethical manner, adhering to the Ethics Charter and Guidelines
* Background in consulting or construction preferred
* International working experience and global business operations awareness
