They will provide support to the delivery of STRAP administration as directed by the site security officer. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description The postholder will support delivery of DITG output in the following ways: As the Ops B Clerk, assist with the application and enforcement of UK STRAP security regulations as detailed in JSP 440 and HMG STRAP Supplement, within DITG. Conduct STRAP office duties on a day-to-day basis. Assist in STRAP Inductions and De-inductions of DITG personnel as required. Provide advice to DITG personnel on STRAP and associated security regulations. Assist in maintenance of a database of all STRAP inducted personnel employed within DITG. Forward the STRAP clearances of DITG personnel conducting off-site visits to the relevant authorities. Ensure the correct handling, dispatch and receipt procedures of security clearance and vetting status documentation. Maintain a working relationship and liaise with associated vetting and security agencies and units. Provide a focal point for all STRAP and clearance status matters for DITG personnel visiting other locations. Provide advice concerning contact with foreign nationals and travel to Restricted Countries. Assist with the production of security briefings as required, including outside courses. Provide instruction on security procedures for Building 600 staff and trainees. Filing, photocopying, and dealing with telephone enquiries. Deal with routine correspondence. Any other relevant Security or STRAP administrative task requested by SO3 Security on an ad-hoc basis commensurate with the grade.
