We are looking for a VAT Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. There are excellent career prospects for this candidate as our firm continues to grow, and we’re looking for a person to match our ambitions.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake the preparation and submission of clients' VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and Limited Companies using various software packages.
2. Communicate with clients and ensure all VAT deadlines are submitted on time.
3. Be responsible for the safekeeping of confidential client records, including receipts and invoices, in accordance with relevant legislation.
4. Respond to inquiries from clients, employees, and other external sources as required.
5. Manage the day-to-day running of the VAT department, allocate jobs to the team, and maintain manual and computerized records in accordance with legislation and the firm’s policies and procedures.
6. Have an excellent understanding of VAT procedures, including applying for VAT Registrations, VAT de-registration, TOGCs, change of legal entity, and all other VAT-related business applications.
7. Keep up to date with the HM Revenue and Customs rules and assist and train the team on VAT rules and regulations.
8. Be at the forefront of digital technology to give clients access to real-time management accounts, enabling businesses to make informed decisions.
9. Undertake other reasonable business tasks as required within the practice.

Part qualified candidates will be given full support in finalizing their aspirations of becoming a Qualified Accountant.
