Job Summary
Reache, established 20 years ago, has delivered Occupational English education and PLAB success for overseas qualified Refugee, Asylum Seeker, Nurses and allied health professionals and placed them into NHS jobs. Over 600 doctors and AHPs have passed through our programme. We are seeking clinicians who can demonstrate experience of teaching and training doctors or medical students. The role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic tutor at REACHE, where we have excellent staff retention and have not had a clinical tutor job opening for many years. You will work with administrative support, English tutors, Pastoral support lead, volunteers, and other clinicians in delivering this Programme.
Main Duties of the Job
Open to GPs & Hospital Doctors
Supporting Refugee and Asylum Seeker doctors through PLAB exams, GMC registration and into NHS clinical jobs, close supervision of doctors on placement and creating and implementing detailed individualised educational plans.
Tutor to deliver remote and face-to-face clinical teaching and supervision to REACHE members.
Tutors are required to have excellent team working and communication skills and it is essential they have experience of curriculum development and clinical supervision/teaching of overseas Doctors, or undergraduate/postgraduate students.
This post carries specific responsibility for the development and delivery of clinical and professional skills teaching and the 'return to work' courses for refugee doctors to ensure that the participants learn the additional skills to make them safe fully rounded healthcare professionals; each with a personal development plan.
